Warm oil poured continuously over your body — Ayurveda’s royal rejuvenation.
✓ Prescribed by Dr. Gaurav Sharma after your diagnosis

“Pizhichil” means pouring or squeezing. In Pizhichil, warm medicated oil is poured in a continuous stream over your body while two therapists massage at the same time. In classical Ayurveda it was called the king of therapies — the royal rejuvenation.
The continuous stream of warm oil does what ordinary massage cannot: it keeps the body warm and nourished without a break, so the oil sinks deep into the tissues. The simultaneous massage spreads the oil, relaxes the muscles and calms the nervous system.
Widespread pain, dryness, stiffness, restlessness and weakness after a long illness come mainly from increased Vata. Pizhichil is the deepest oleation — Snehana — therapy in Ayurveda, and the strongest Vata-calming treatment there is.
When pain is everywhere, weakness is deep, or the body feels dried out, ordinary massage is not enough. Pizhichil is the deepest nourishment Ayurveda offers.
If any of these sound like you, this therapy was made for your problem.
If your whole body aches and feels dried out, Pizhichil nourishes the whole body at once.
Pizhichil suits people whose problems are whole-body, not one-spot — and people who need deep rebuilding, not just pain relief.
It mainly calms Vata — dryness, pain and restlessness across the whole body.
A typical session lasts 45–60 minutes.
Consultation first. The doctor examines you and decides whether Pizhichil is right for you, and which medicated oil to use.
Preparation. The medicated oil is warmed. Your body is prepared for the session.
Pouring. Warm oil is poured in a continuous stream over your body.
Massage. Two therapists massage simultaneously while the oil pours, spreading nourishment everywhere.
Duration. A typical session lasts 45–60 minutes.
Post-care. A herbal bath follows, then complete rest. Keep your body warm and eat light, warm food.
Plan a quiet day after Pizhichil. Rest fully, keep your body warm, and let the oil's nourishment settle in.
At Adinath, Pizhichil begins with Dr. Gaurav Sharma's diagnosis after Nadi Pariksha. The medicated oil is chosen for your dosha and your condition — the oil for chronic pain is not the same as the oil for weakness after illness.
Two trained therapists then carry out the session together, keeping the oil temperature steady and the massage rhythmic for the full session.
Pizhichil is deeply relaxing and fully external. Oil temperature is monitored constantly through the session, and the therapy is done by two trained therapists.
Tell the doctor about fever, skin infections, open wounds, or if you feel unwell on the day of the session.

Pizhichil is for chronic widespread body pain, weakness after a long illness, dryness and stiffness, and deep rejuvenation. Warm medicated oil is poured continuously over the body while two therapists massage.
A typical session lasts 45–60 minutes, plus a herbal bath and rest afterwards.
The doctor decides after your diagnosis. Deep, long-standing problems need a longer course, reviewed as your body responds.
Not at all — it is Ayurveda's most luxurious therapy. Warm oil and gentle massage, from start to finish.
It is safe when done by trained therapists under the doctor's prescription. Tell the doctor about fever, skin infections, open wounds, or if you feel unwell on the day.
Take a herbal bath, then rest completely. Keep your body warm and eat light, warm food. Plan a quiet day.
No. Pizhichil needs large quantities of medicated oil, two trained therapists working together, and the right temperature control. It is a clinic-only therapy.
Wear loose, easy clothing and come with a light meal, not a heavy one. The clinic arranges what you need for the session itself.
Pizhichil pours a continuous stream of far more warm oil with simultaneous massage — deeper nourishment. Abhyanga is a classical oil massage with a smaller amount of oil.
