Warm oil foot massage — grounds the body, calms the mind, invites sleep.
✓ Prescribed by Dr. Gaurav Sharma after your diagnosis

“Pada” means feet, and “Abhyanga” means oil massage. Padabhyanga is the classical Ayurvedic foot massage — warm herbal oil worked into the feet with slow, classical strokes.
The feet carry nerve endings and marma points that connect to the whole body. Massaging them with warm oil calms the nervous system, improves circulation in the feet and legs, and grounds a restless body and mind.
Restlessness, dryness, cold feet and disturbed sleep are signs of increased Vata. Padabhyanga is one of Ayurveda's simplest and most loved Vata-calming therapies — and its classical remedy for sleeplessness.
The feet carry you all day and get almost no attention. Padabhyanga gives them the care they deserve — and the whole body feels the difference.
If any of these sound like you, this therapy was made for your problem.
If your feet ache by evening and your mind will not switch off at night, Padabhyanga is for you.
Padabhyanga suits almost everyone — it is one of the gentlest therapies in Ayurveda — and it is especially helpful for these people.
It mainly calms Vata — the dosha behind restlessness, dryness and disturbed sleep.
A typical session lasts 20–30 minutes.
Consultation first. The doctor checks your feet, sleep and general health, then chooses the right herbal oil for you.
Preparation. Your feet are cleaned with warm water.
Warm oil. Herbal oil, chosen for your dosha, is warmed and applied to the feet.
Massage. Classical strokes are worked over the soles, ankles and calves, with pressure adjusted to your comfort.
Duration. A typical session lasts 20–30 minutes.
Post-care. You rest with your feet kept warm. Wear socks and avoid walking barefoot on a cold floor right after.
Padabhyanga is best taken in the evening or before bed, when its sleep benefits are strongest.
At Adinath, even a simple therapy like Padabhyanga begins with a diagnosis. Dr. Gaurav Sharma prescribes the oil and the pressure after Nadi Pariksha, because the right oil matters.
Trained therapists then carry out the classical strokes — not a casual rub, but the traditional technique with attention to the marma points of the feet.
Padabhyanga is gentle and safe for almost everyone, including the elderly. The oil is warm, the pressure is adjusted to your comfort, and the therapy is fully external.
Tell the doctor about foot wounds, fungal infection, painful varicose veins, or fever before the session.
